The Prettiest Hour

You could be wrapped up in satin sheets that are sea foam green staring up at me from your cradle
Cat's milk
Slurping up sideways chanteys and throwing them back out into the wind like
Rolled up newspaper used for whipping Fido into submission tells him not to pee on the paper anymore
Now is the time to use the outside
Come back in if it's ever raining too hard
Raining like black wind
Raining like pink rivers
Raining like the lightning that flashed and you sat in your car crying
Tears like rivulets washing down the windshield and too depressing to turn on the wipers
Can't believe you're holding onto that stupid memory from 1997 as though time is gonna change things
I held your hand all the way back to your car
The phone call the next morning where you said 'I don't love you' I still call bullshit
Raging me.  Raging sea.  Raging hags.  Raging forest.
Upturned belly button tables
Pregnancy
Pocket watch timing while you run,
It's ten after two...
Perfect Timing.
