Take Your Medicine.

Tired.
Tired of...
The thing you remember to remind yourself being:
Take your medication
And all the stigma
And the fear
That someone won't love you
Because
It makes you too...
High Maintenance
And
You always valued the way Craig's dad said you were a "cheap date" and
Saw it as endearing
But
It doesn't matter if you
Always order the chicken dish
When you have to
Take pills
And chewy vitamins
And sit in your bedroom sobbing
Over
Literally
Nothing
Nothing
And the chicken...
The bread that came with it
Makes you feel like
You can't get out of bed
In the morning
or even
The afternoon
Some semblance of worthiness it...
Washes away like
Pollen from your freshly washed car and into
the storm grate
Dignity
Peace
Self-actualization
And you work hard to improve yourself all your life
Working
Striving
And end up sitting staring at the computer screen from under the bedclothes in an old flannel while the rain comes and eating chocolate and drinking tea and knowing if you could just bring yourself to eat something more sustainable maybe...
Maybe
You could rally yourself to move.
